Slim pants compulsory in Next

It would appear that the bosses at the high street clothing store Next would like to see all of their staff looking as if they have just come off of the cat walk. These revelations come as the thousands of the stores employees have been given a style guide which gives them information on how the company would like them to look.

One of the more personal and potentially troublesome guidelines is the one which states: “try out magic pants to hide lumps and bumps” as anyone can see this is not the sort of thing that you expect an employer to be telling an employee to do and will no doubt create a bit of back lash.

They also suggest that pinstripes make you look taller and slimmer, many of the staff were handed the leaflet as they left work and then the next day were all spoken to by the store managers. Some staff are feeling insulted by the guide.

It seems that we now need to think about what we look like when we apply for certain positions.
