Starbucks to pay out tips

There are not many cities around where you cannot find a Starbucks coffee shop, in fact they do seem to be popping up on every street corner, which just proves one thing and that is, we like to get a coffee from this brand. But when you leave a tip you expect this to go the coffee makers or as they are known “Baristas” however in some places this has not been happening.

In California a US Judge as given Starbucks an order which bans supervisors and management from taking a share of the tips, in fact this is a State law which has been overlooked by the store managers or the company.

The Judge not only has ordered this practice to stop, but the company will also have to pay back the tips that have been paid out to the Starbucks supervisors and managers to the tune of around £50 million. This has been calculated back to when the claim was first looked into, and it is believed to effect around a 100,000 current and former coffee makers.
