Plant a tree and watch it grow online

It is almost impossible for anyone not to have seen the schemes that allow people and businesses to plant a tree in some foreign land, which is good for the environment, but in reality is not so great for the people who buy them, because once they have paid out, that’s it end of story.

But this is set to change, because the World Wildlife Fund have created a scheme that looks as if it might be better than the average tree planting system. This is because they have teamed up with Google Earth this way the people who pay for a tree to be planted can actually see it growing.

Its only innovative ideas like this that will separate this organisation away the rest, the technology is out there to use and this is a really good use of Google Earth. The cost is only about £3 per tree which is not a lot at all really, but could make a difference in the long term.
