Tax free internet shopping to end in the states

In the states if someone buys a product from a company based in another state they do not have to pay tax on the item, which can work out at good saving. This is very similar to what happens here in the UK. We can buy certain goods from Jersey and get a good saving on them; however in the states it looks as if this may be coming to end.

Politicians are planning on forcing the companies to pay tax on goods that are currently being sold to other states for tax free. So normally as we know what happens in the US normally follows on and ends up over here in some shape or form.

So could we be seeing the future of tax free shopping coming to an end? It is only natural that any government locks down any tax leaks and sure enough they would be looking for a way to plug those holes even more than they do now.
