Fish in short supply

Once again technology has been used in an industry that just cannot keep up with these advances. Fishing was a business that boomed with many independent fishing boats heading out to sea and coming back with their catch.

But as the boats became larger and more sophisticated the industry has struck to a point where many fishing ports and markets have been forced to close, and the global fish stocks have been unable to sustain their numbers due to being over fished.

While some countries have adopted limits to the amounts of fish that their fleets can catch, others have just allowed their fleets to catch as many fish as they like, no matter what size or breed they are.

Something will need to be done; otherwise fish will be on the danger of extinction list before long.
