Tiffany to fight eBay ruling

It was almost four years when Tiffany & Co decided to take the online auction house eBay to court over the amount of counterfeit products for sale on their site.

However, last month a Judge ruled that eBay could be responsible to examine every single item that is listed on the site for authenticity.

Naturally, for a huge brand like Tiffany & Co, counterfeit jewellery is going to be a big problem and they are not going to accept the judge’s ruling, saying:

“We believe that legal errors were made in this decision, and we have every reason to believe that the circuit court will look at them afresh and hopefully agree with us,”

This is a huge problem even when it comes down to markets and some stores, can anyone be really sure that they are buying the real thing?
