How to diet with fast food
It sounds crazy but it is possible, of course, no diet is going to work if fast food is your main source of food this is simply because of the calories, salt and sugar involved in the production of these foods.
However, the occasional lapse in self-control does not have to be the end of the diet if you follow the rules below.
Go for the salad, minus the fried toppings
Skip the cheese
Ask for extra onions, lettuce, and tomato
Order unsweetened iced tea or bottled water
Choose 1% or skim milk as your drink
Always say no to the special sauce
Use hot sauce, not ketchup, on your French fries
Do not supersize
In fact, order a kid’s meal
Get a sub sandwich
Don’t be fooled by low-carb claims
Use a fast-food item as part of a meal
Get some kind of vegetable and/or fruit with every fast-food meal
Get skinless chicken
Order a taco salad without the shell or sour cream, and ask for only half the cheese
Look for ways to sneak in fibre
Avoid value meals
Look for the words “grilled,” “baked,” or “broiled.”
Have an apple, banana, non-fat yogurt
Eat breakfast at home and save fast food for lunch or dinner
Make a supermarket your fast-food restaurant
Avoid processed or cured meats
