How healthy are kid’s cereals?

It seems that breakfast cereals meant for the kids are also likely to be the favourites of adults; in fact, it is believed that over fifty per cent of all cereals that have been designed and packaged towards the younger market are in actually eaten by adults.

This will come as good news for the manufacturers as this means that there is still a larger market out there for them to go after and that they can also target the advertising to a duel group of consumers.

The shocking thing about these cereals is that they are totally laden with sugar, in some cases sugar makes up around fifty per cent of cereal by weight alone and there are some cereals, which have more sugar than a donut from a famous retail outlet.
