Germany demand a million electric vehicles
The German government are planning to have over a million plug in hybrid and electric cars on their roads within eleven years; it was announced at the Future of Electric Transportation conference.
The plan will mean huge investment in the areas of battery development, an infrastructure to cope with the increase in electric cars and the introduction of a tax credit system to encourage the use of these eco friendly vehicles.
It has been well publicised that the German car industry have been busy developing electric vehicles, such as the Mini E and the electrically powered Smart Car.
However, the goal is to get the driving public to change their vehicles and in fact the way that they go about their daily driving routines.
