The strange things found in lost property

People tend to leave some very strange stuff on trains, which if goes unclaimed these items will end up going to a good cause or an auction.

One railway company CrossCountry Trains who run lines across the entire UK serving Aberdeen, Penzance, Stansted Airport and Cardiff. They have found some surprising items left on their trains such as a cat and even £30,000 in used notes found in a bag.

The top ten items left behind on CrossCountry trains were:

1 Mobile phones

2 Books

3 Umbrellas

4 Bags (handbags, hand luggage, briefcase etc)

5 iPod / MP3 players

6 Glasses

7 Carrier bags / shopping

8 Laptops

9 Jewellery

10 Wallets / purses

You have to ask the question as to the person who leaves these items behind, what must be going through their minds. Imagine how the person who left that cash on a train was feeling the very moment that they realised it.
