Good night’s sleep saves hundreds in cold remedies
Over the winter months consumers spends millions if not billions of pounds on treatments for colds, which for most of the time will not do anything to cure the cold, other than make the sufferer feel slightly more comfortable.
However, researchers have found that although there may not be a cure for the common cold, there is something that a person can to do to protect them from getting the cold in the first place.
This remarkable solution to the common cold is sleep, apparently of those who took part in the study; the people who have less than seven hours of sleep at night are three times as likely to get cold symptoms, than those who are able to sleep more eight per night.
It is sleep that helps the brain to fix things while it does not have to do other things; it is believed that this is why long sleepers get colds less.
