Apple celebrating 25 years of Mac sales
For twenty five years, the Apple Macintosh has been on the shelves of computer stores and things could not be any better for Apple, but it was not always like that.
The original Mac was a 128K machine launch on the 24th January 1984 and although Lisa was launched a year earlier, it is the Mac that had caught the eye of the many devoted fans of Apple and still does.
The first machine had a hefty price tag of $2,495 which meant that owning one made you a member a rather exclusive club, yet this computer heralded the launch of personal computing for the masses, but even so take up was slow.
It was only during the 1990’s when the fortunes of Apple changed with the introduction of the iMac, now twenty five years later Apple is now an icon within the technology industry and rightly so.
