Windows 7 could be bad for Vista sales

It seems that ever since the first signs that Windows 7 was on its way, sales of Vista have started to stall and it is not as if consumers were beating their way to Microsoft’s door in the first place for a copy of Vista either.

It looks as if the amount of businesses and consumers who will go straight from Windows XP to Windows 7, by passing the Vista operating system altogether.

According to a recent survey, around thirty per cent of businesses will be switching in this manner, but there are certain implications, in switching from XP straight to Windows 7. The main thing being is that it will need to be a new install; all data and programmes will need to be removed from the hard drive before Windows 7 can be installed.

This will add time and inconvenience to the installation, but still some people think that it is worth it.
