Man lives in mall for four years!

This may sound like the lead to a film, but in fact it is actually very true. Michael Townsend an artist, built his “Apartment” inside the storage area of the mall in Rhode Island, USA was arrested by police when they found his little abode.

He and some fellow artists had lived in the mall for four years, and it was fully fitted out with furniture and even TV. They built a partition wall out of breeze block type bricks and entry was gained through a utility door. I wondered where those led too!

As with many people, he made a fatal mistake by posting a video of his place on the web, naturally somebody was going to notice the location and so his secret was out. This was a bit unfortunate for him, because he was just about to fit a new kitchen, shame!
