Video Sniffin means free broadcasting

Video Sniffin is where kids or anyone else, use CCTV systems to make their own short films. This may sound like a highly technical activity, but surprisingly it is a matter of buying some really inexpensive equipment that enables them to “Sniff” out the CCTV signals and they are then in the system.

This has become such a craze that groups are making short films, by using shopping mall security systems to make their films and posting them on the net, some have even been invited to festivals and events to show off their material.

This is a sort of extension to other activities such as free running etc, in fact there is even a toolkit called “Gearbox” that gives a complete “How to” guide, which includes Spy Kiting, which use wireless CCTV and a kite to give helicopter style images.
