Microsoft giving AV software away
With some PC security software costing in the region of £35 in the UK the anti virus, market can be a very lucrative business.
Yet software giant Microsoft have in past allowed this market to grow without its involvement until last year when it launched Windows Live OneCare, however this product was pulled from the market late in 2008.
Now Microsoft are looking to re-enter the anti virus market with its latest product called “Morro” although it is not yet known that this will be the final name that the company will stick with.
The software is currently being tested by Microsoft employees, where it is believed to be working in line with expectations, this means that it will not be long before the product is launched and surprisingly it will be free!
