Big Brother may follow your Credit Card!

It seems that American Express is toying with the idea of using RFID in bedded into their cards. This is not some great idea that will enable them to track a stolen card, no. This could be used to track the card holder as they work their way around the stores and shopping malls.

However not to allow them to get their own way, CASPIAN (Consumers Against Supermarket Privacy Invasion and Numbering) have met with the banks people to see what they have in mind.

It appears that stores could install RFID readers into store shelving and in common areas of shopping malls, which all seems pretty harmless at first, but where will it lead from there?
